Restaurant Manager Luxury Hotel | Cape Town Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and manage restaurant operations within a prestigious luxury hotel in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and developing a high-performing service team in a luxury environment. Requirements: 35 years experience in a similar leadership role within high-end or boutique hospitality Formal training or certification in hospitality management or a related field preferred Knowledge of wine service, pairings, and cellar practices advantageous Strong operational expertise in restaurant systems, service delivery, and daily management Excellent leadership and team development skills Proficiency in Micros Symphony (POS), Dineplan, timekeeping, and stock management systems Financial acumen including budgeting, expense tracking, and cost control Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities Guest-focused with a professional and polished approach Key Responsibilities: Lead, train, and coach the front-of-house team to achieve high standards of service Deliver the restaurants vision and uphold brand positioning and F&B offerings Conduct SOP, menu, and wine service training for staff, with ongoing performance feedback Oversee operational systems including bookings, POS, timekeeping, and stock control Liaise with guests regarding reservations, bespoke dining experiences, and special requests Manage group functions, events, and related operational documentation Conduct regular stock takes and ensure accurate inventory management Collaborate with the F&B Manager on budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting Identify and resolve FOH/BOH operational issues promptly Ensure adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Opportunity to lead restaurant operations within a prestigious luxury hotel Chance to develop and inspire a high-performing hospitality team To apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
