Johannesburg: Intermediate .NET Developer

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web and desktop applications using C#, .NET Core / .NET Framework, and related technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, testers, and project managers) to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, following coding standards and best practices. Debug, test, and troubleshoot applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Integrate APIs and third-party services to extend functionality. Maintain and optimize databases using SQL Server (stored procedures, views, queries, etc.). Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality. Document software designs, technical processes, and code changes clearly and accurately. Contribute to software architecture discussions and suggest improvements to systems and processes. Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to continuously enhance development skills. Job experience and skills required: Bachelors degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years experience in software development using C# and .NET technologies. Proven experience in ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Web API development. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Blazor) is an advantage. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS preferred. Understanding of RESTful API design and integration. Experience with version control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps.
