Key Responsibilities

Site Selection & Pre-Construction Planning

• Conduct site assessments considering soil stability, topography, drainage, and geotechnical factors.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize billboard placement for visibility while ensuring structural feasibility.
• Review zoning, utility lines, and other site-specific considerations to mitigate risks.

Design & Engineering

• Develop structural plans for billboard foundations, support columns, framing, and signage panels.
• Perform load calculations accounting for static and dynamic forces such as wind.
• Ensure foundation designs meet safety and durability standards.

Permitting & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare engineering drawings and calculations for municipal approvals.
• Navigate local bylaws and engage with authorities, including SANRAL and the Department of Environmental Affairs, for site-specific approvals.
• Ensure compliance with SAMOAC and other outdoor advertising regulations.

Construction & Installation Oversight

• Supervise contractors during billboard erection to ensure proper construction practices.
• Monitor foundation pouring, assembly, and installation for structural integrity.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to maintain schedules and quality standards.
