About the Role
As a Business Representative at Staff Solutions, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and fostering strong relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders. You will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless operations and maintain operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential customers to open new accounts based on future growth potential.
- Track monthly sales per customer and analyze performance against targets, implementing strategies to drive improvements.
- Extract sales data from the SAP system and create action plans when needed to stay on target.
- Provide monthly updates to management on all customer-related activities.
- Collaborate with marketing to propose new ideas and assist clients in aligning their strategies with the company’s vision.
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient route planning.
- Organize trade evenings and promotional events to foster customer relationships and increase product awareness.
- Lead and monitor promotional campaigns to grow and strengthen the customer base.
- Assist with the credit application process and collaborate on timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Partner with the debtors’ team to ensure that all accounts are settled within 45 days.
- Proactively manage relationships with high-risk customers to mitigate potential issues.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of company vehicles and equipment according to company policy.
- Participate in monthly meetings to review new business opportunities and customer progress.
Stock Control
- Liaise with the warehouse to ensure optimal stock availability and resolve any stock-related queries.
- Support the consignment stock process when required.
- Monitor customer buying patterns to help forecast stock requirements and assist in inventory planning.
- Ensure stock rotations are properly managed and replenished as needed.
Compliance
- Operate within company procedures and controls to maintain operational integrity.
- Report potential risks and concerns to management for proactive resolution.
- Promote compliance with all regulations to avoid unnecessary expenditure and waste.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both employees and customers, ensuring the highest level of service.
- Identify and resolve customer issues while adhering to the company’s core values.
- Regularly engage with key stakeholders to follow up on customer queries and ensure their satisfaction.
- Provide customers with training on products, pricing, and any updates to product offerings.
- Ensure customer information is kept up to date and assist with maintaining customer records.
Cost Control
- Support the effective use of financial and operational resources to drive efficiency.
- Ensure that correct pricing structures are in place and reviewed regularly.
- Monitor daily gross profit and implement action plans when necessary.
- Help reduce operational costs by optimizing company assets and minimizing unnecessary expenses.
- Track expenditure and report any deviations from the budget to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum: A Diploma or Certificate (NQF Level 5)
- Advantageous: Additional certifications in related fields
Experience
- Minimum: Up to 3 years of experience in a similar Business Representative or relevant role within the manufacturing environment.
- Advantageous: Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems
