Our client, a top-tier financial technology company with offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and London, develops scalable, high-performance software solutions across the financial services and wealth management sectors.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery — driving requirements, data mapping, and functional documentation for complex software development projects. You’ll work closely with developers, product owners, and clients to ensure every feature is technically sound and business-aligned.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale FinTech projects, with long-term potential to grow across multiple teams and technologies as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders to define functional and integration requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Conduct data mapping, API analysis, and integration validation using tools such as Postman or SOAPUI.
• Provide technical guidance to software development teams within sprints and support feature delivery.
• Conduct functional testing, manage defect triage, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
• Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and support deployment and release processes.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4+ years in a Technical Business Analyst or similar technical role.
• Proven experience in software development environments, preferably within financial services or FinTech.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and data mapping.
• Familiarity with tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, and JIRA.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to guide development teams and contribute to sprint planning.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work collaboratively under pressure.

Preferred:

• Experience as a software developer or technical lead before transitioning into business analysis.
• Background in financial systems, wealth management, or investment platforms.
