Junior Sous Chef – Pastry Join a world-class luxury hotel in the heart of Cape Town, renowned for its exceptional service, refined elegance, and culinary excellence. We are seeking a talented and versatile Junior Sous Chef – Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with a strong technical foundation in pastry, bakery, and plated desserts, as well as the creativity to contribute to menu development and daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Support the Pastry Chef in overseeing day-to-day pastry operations. Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste across all outlets. Assist with training, mentoring, and development of junior pastry staff. Maintain high standards of hygiene, organization, and stock control. Contribute to innovation in desserts and bakery offerings aligned with the property’s luxury standards. Requirements: Relevant pastry qualification or formal training. 3–5 years’ experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment. Strong technical pastry and bakery skills with attention to detail.
