Job Description
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa, Remote
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the stack.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to improving development processes.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Intermediate to Senior (3-7+ years of professional Web Development experience).
- Back-End: Proficient in PHP and MySQL for building robust server-side applications and database management.
- Front-End: Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating responsive and interactive user interfaces.
- Experience with Laravel for Back-end Development.
- Proficiency in Vue.js for building dynamic Font-end applications.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for rapid and responsive UI styling.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
- Experience with Version Control systems (e.g., Git).
- Flexible to accommodate occasional after-hours work for critical deployments or maintenance.
- Exposure to other frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Symfony).
- Experience with GenAI LLM Integration and Prompt Engineering.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
