Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred)

• 5+ years of financial management or controlling experience

• Essential: Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries

• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools

• In-depth knowledge of business financials, taxation, and labour regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial operations across the consultancy and its projects

• Prepare, monitor, and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT, UIF, and other statutory requirements

• Manage payroll processes in line with labour laws

• Oversee creditors, debtors, and invoicing functions

• Implement and monitor robust internal controls and financial procedures

• Conduct cash flow management and cost analysis to support efficiency

• Present management accounts and financial insights to stakeholders

• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

• Support senior leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making

This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on finance professional with extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full financial accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, month-end, and intercompany transactions.

• Prepare and present accurate management accounts and financial reports to senior management.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads.

• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure reporting.

• Support decision-making for new revenue initiatives and operational strategies.

• Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.

• Extensive post-article experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.

• Proven leadership and team management experience.
