Job Purpose: Achieving sales targets by selecting the appropriate equipment, submitting timeous and accurate quotations, processing orders and ensuring delivery of goods to customers in line with customer requirements. Requirements: Grade 12 with Mathematics. Engineering qualification preferable. 2 to 3 years experience in internal sales, preferably in an engineering / industrial environment. Key Performance Areas: Compiling Quotations: Monitoring email and telephonic requests for quotations from customers and external sales team. Analysing and selecting suitable equipment in line with technical specifications and customer requirements. Performing required calculations to validate pump selections. Ensuring client receives quotes timeously. Determining materials and/or products required for quotation purposes and obtaining relevant pricing and availability. Capturing relevant information such as customer details, product details, etc. on the ERP system. Submitting relevant quotation and additional technical information to the customer or sales representative. Ensuring accuracy of information and product specifications. Liaising with the line manager in the event of queries. Processing Received Orders: Ensuring all relevant information and supporting paperwork is completed prior to capturing on the ERP system. Checking client account status prior to processing new orders. For cash clients, processing pro-forma invoices and submitting to finance pending clearance of payments. Checking availability of ordered products. Capturing order on ERP system. Sending order documentation to production manager and stores supervisor. For ordered items not currently in stock, submitting information to purchasing department. Sending order acknowledgement to client. Daily checking of ERP system to monitor order status and provide feedback to the client and/or sales representative. Liaising with the department manager in the event of delayed orders or issues. Submitting all relevant credit note information to the line manager for cancelled orders. Ensuring up-to-date filing of all relevant documentation. Costing import quotations. Minimum Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Internal Sales Representative in the Valve Industry N6 or National Diploma in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering required Proficient in Pastel Accounting software essential Strong knowledge of Valve Products and Applications across Petrochemical | Oil & Gas | Energy | Pulp & Paper | Mining | Process industries will be beneficial Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required Contactable references and payslips required Salary Structure: Basic Salary of between R 15 000 and R 35 000 negotiable based on experience (Only suitable candidates will be shortlisted and contacted within 14 days)
