Our client is seeking Electrician to join their team in Cape Town. A persons with experience in concrete manufacturing is highly advantageous

Purpose of the role: To run and maintain the plant equipment in such a way as to achieve minimum production downtime, maximum life span of equipment, best manpower utilisation and production of quality products.

Duties:

• Competent to work on Siemens S5 PLC’s.
• Fault finding and Panel building.
• In conjunction with the Maintenance Foreman, work towards upholding the efficiency of the plant.
• Ensure the minimum downtime as a result of electrical breakdowns.
• Maintain all electrical equipment to the highest working and safety standards.
• Order and maintain sufficient electrical spares and equipment to meet above requirements.
• Take responsibility for the maintenance of the Curing Equipment.
• Assist with mechanical repairs.
• Ensure that all the requirements of the OHS Act are conformed with.
• Ensure that the planned maintenance system is maintained.
• Safety Co-ordination of works safety system in liaison with the Safety Committee.
• Abide by Company Safety, Personnel and Operational policies as amended from time to time.

Requirements:

1. N4 with Trade Test – Wireman’s License will be an advantage.
2. PLC Experience will be an advantage.
3. 3 Years working experience in Industrial Maintenance environment and panel building experience in a manufacturing environment.
4. Able to read drawings. Good hand / eye co-ordination.
5. Self-motivator
6. Good communication skills with all levels.
7. Normal production working hours – after hours as / when required

Basic Salary: R 19 000 – R 22 000 CTC per month
