A trusted and well established Diamond Status Hospital in The Middle East is seeking an experienced CFO
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled CFO to join our team and oversee financial operations at our private hospital. The primary focus of this role will be on cash flow management and ensuring overall compliance with state laws and regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making to support the hospital’s mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accountants and financial staff as well as the hospital’s cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and optimizing cash reserves to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and financial reporting requirements, including tax filings, licensing, and statutory reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making by senior management.
- Collaborate with departmental heads and finance teams to develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, optimizing cash conversion cycles and minimizing financial risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies for audits and compliance reviews, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial documents and reports.
- Provide financial support and guidance to operational teams, assisting with financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in healthcare finance, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance and optimize financial performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or financial analyst, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow management principles, financial reporting standards, and state laws and regulations governing healthcare finance.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, ERP systems), with the ability to generate accurate and insightful financial reports.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative solutions to complex financial challenges.
