Hire Resolve is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Underwriter specializing in Short-Term Personal Lines Insurance, to join our client’s esteemed team in Johannesburg!

Requirements:
– Must have a valid RE1 qualification
– Class of Business in Short-term Insurance Personal Lines
– NQF 4/5 in Short-Term insurance
– At least 2 years of experience in underwriting personal lines insurance in the short-term insurance industry
– Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry trends
– Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
– Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
– Evaluate and analyze insurance applications for personal lines policies
– Assess risk factors and determine premium rates
– Review and approve policy changes and endorsements
– Communicate with brokers and clients to provide underwriting decisions and recommendations
– Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
– Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes
