Job Requirements:Proven experience as a Workshop ManagerTrade Certificate / Red Seal Boilermaker certificate, engineering diploma (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) or equivalentExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAbility to communicate and report effectivelyIn-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelinesExtensive experience (10+ years) in a supervisory or management role with a strong background in structural steel, mechanical, platework, and piping is essential.Must be proficient in MS Office (MS Project & Excel)Job Description:Manage daily workshop operations, including planning and prioritizing workloads, scheduling, and optimizing workflow processes.Responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection fabrications and assembliesGeneral Administration for personnel and record keepingMaintaining a database of everything purchased, work done and by whomOversee the maintenance of all workshop equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are safe, in good working order, and calibrated. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric sketchesFamiliarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and construction regulationsPrepare and verify material take-offs for operational planningEnsure that appropriate workshop procedures are in place and adhered to.
