Duties and Responsibilities

Construct, assemble, maintain, and preform all maintenance duties assigned and assisting in Fabrication department when required

Align structures or plate sections to assemble tanks, following drawings

Work involves use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs or turnbuckles.

Cast and bend parts into shape, and welding and bolting parts together.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Boilermaker with transformer tank manufacturing experience.

At least 3 years experience in welding and cutting for maintenance projects

Ability to use power tools.

Writing and reading skills shall be a definite requirement.

Must be able to communicate with the supervisors.

Must be able to follow instructions.

Must follow company procedures at all times.

Must have the ability to work with manufacturing terminology.

Must be able to collect materials form stores.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to assist with handling difficult situations.

Ability to pay close attention to detail and co-ordinate various activities simultaneously.

Perform any other reasonable duty delegated to you.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

The ability to work under pressure.

A keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job-related skills.

Be able to work night shift, overtime and at times unsupervised.

Living within the area or own transport is a requirement.

Required to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
