About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Engineer to join our team at Ann Swann Personnel Services. As an established industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation, we deliver customised mechanical equipment solutions to clients across multiple industries, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking full ownership of projects in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from order handover to final delivery
- Review contract documentation and ensure alignment with quotations and client requirements
- Produce and update detailed mechanical design drawings
- Coordinate purchasing, manufacturing, inspection, and logistics activities
- Ensure quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements are met
- Track progress, manage timelines, and communicate proactively with customers
- Control project costs and identify discrepancies before production proceeds
- Compile job-specific manuals and data books where required
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Ensure correct packaging, transport, and delivery of completed equipment
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software
- Strong mechanical engineering understanding
- Project coordination or project management exposure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Clear communication and reporting ability
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
