About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at HandPicked Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, identifying and securing new clients, and developing relationships with industry stakeholders. With a strong technical understanding of solar engineering, feasibility, financial modeling, and energy yield, you will play a crucial role in growing our company’s presence in the commercial/industrial Solar PV sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives for Solar PV projects 7MW+
- Identify, qualify, and secure new commercial and industrial clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, EPCs, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Drive tender submissions, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Collaborate with the engineering, finance, and project teams on feasibility, design, and costing.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and trends.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and partner engagements.
- Manage the full sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards related to large-scale solar projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development within the commercial/industrial Solar PV sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing large Solar PV projects (7MW+).
- Strong technical understanding of solar engineering, feasibility, financial modeling, and energy yield.
- Excellent negotiation and high-value deal-closing skills.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders.
