About the Role
The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the Deboning Hall, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of meat processing techniques and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and co-ordinate daily/weekly production schedules.
- Manage the day to day operations and assist in all areas of production to meet production targets.
- Report on daily yields and track line efficiencies.
- Identify training needs and provide appropriate training and coaching on the production floor.
- Maintain constant adherence to all company, customer, and legal requirements regarding Food safety and aspects related to authenticity and Quality assurance.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and guide production staff, monitor their productivity, and counsel them on how to achieve optimal workflows.
- Participate in departmental meetings regarding product quality and processes when required.
- Ensure that the highest levels of Service, Quality and Workmanship are maintained.
- Drive a culture of excellent adherence to Health & Safety of all employees through the maintenance of a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a meat or food processing plant, preferably in a unionised environment.
- Experience with regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum National Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
