About the Role
International Tax Consultant – We’re looking for a specialist who understands how money moves across borders and how to keep it clean, compliant and clever. Our confidential client is seeking an expert in tax treaties, cross-border structures, and international compliance who thinks commercially, spots risk before it lands, and can hold their own in complex global conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage international tax matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Advise on cross-border transactions, structures and tax planning
- Interpret double tax agreements and global tax regulations
- Support business decisions with practical, commercial tax insight
- Work closely with stakeholders who operate beyond SA borders
Requirements
- Understanding of tax treaties and their implications for cross-border transactions
- Experience in managing international tax matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Taxation, Law, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g. ATT, CAIA) an advantage
- Relevant industry experience (minimum 3 years)
