About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Network Finance in Pretoria North. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial statements, as well as providing support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, overheads, and operational expenses.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational and financial decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (BCom Accounting/Finance).
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or production industries.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax compliance, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
