About the Role

Hire Resolve, a boutique Specialist Investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Equity Analyst to join their team at our Johannesburg offices. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in assisting Portfolio Managers with carefully thought-out investment ideas from South Africa and other international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Produce at least six high quality written ideas (3 x SA and 3 x Global) per year.
Update existing valuation models & Sector reviews.
Maintain Centralized research database.
Deliver at least 3 ESG-related engagements per year.
Report Back on results of companies under coverage after attending management presentations.
Provide guidance to junior analysts when necessary.

Requirements

Advanced Computer literacy MS Office suite
Excellent Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Strong Analytical Ability
Organized and Excellent planning skills
Attention to detail.
Report writing & Verbal reporting skills.
Minimum of 5 years written research experience in an investment bank or asset management firm.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance CA(SA) or CFA or Master would be advantageous.
Self-Motivated team player
Self-Starter with strong project Management skills
Entrepreneurial and creative thinker
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
