About the Role

A well-established ICT distribution company based in Sandton is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join their team. As a key member of the technical department, you will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining a wide range of desktops, notebooks, servers, and other hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Upgrading and Downgrading of Desktops and Notebooks:
RAM upgrades
SSD installations
Imaging of specific operating systems
Migrating data from old HDDs to new HDDs/SSDs
SSD / Hard drive upgrades
Replacing internal components (screens, keyboards, etc.)
Operating system upgrades
Asset tagging
Creating client documentation for asset tagging
Etching company logos on laptops and all-in-one PCs
Upgrading Dell Servers:
HDD installations
RAM installations
Installing additional CPUs
Installing BOSS controllers
OS deployment (if arranged)
Network card installations
Administrative Tasks:
Capturing stock received in the technical department
Submitting monthly stock reports to Management
Recording OS upgrades in spreadsheets
Sending OS upgrade spreadsheets for system capture
Notifying sales representatives when OS upgrades are ready for invoicing and capturing invoice numbers on the main spreadsheet
Assisting clients with remote support
Offsite Work:
Performing installations at client premises (RAM upgrades, imaging, etc.)

Requirements

Must have Matric and a relevant qualification.

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary: R10 000 – R15 000 CTC pm.

Working days and hours: Monday to Friday 08h00 – 17h00.

15 Days leave per annum.

Pension.

Medical Aid with Discovery.
