About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team as a Centurion. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and leading kitchen staff to ensure speed, quality, and consistency in food preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Supervise kitchen service to ensure speed, quality, and consistency
Manage prep lists and service planning
Step into Head Chef role when required
Assist with staff training, development, and discipline
Lead by example during busy service periods and ensure clear communication between kitchen sections

Requirements

Matric 3-5 years experience in a busy, professional kitchen
Previous experience as a Senior Comis or Junior Sous Chef preferred
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards

Qualifications

Matric 3-5 years experience in a busy, professional kitchen

Salary & Benefits

R 15 000 R 23 000 pm DOE (dependent on experience)
