About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at the Berea store in East London. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing medicines, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients’ medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting those needs
- Evaluation of a patient’s medicine-related needs by determining the indication, safety, and effectiveness of the therapy
- Dispensing of any medicine or scheduled substance on the prescription of a person authorized to prescribe medicine
- Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regard to the use of medicine
- Determining patient compliance with the therapy, and follow-up to ensure that patients’ medicine-related needs are being met
Requirements
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceuticals
- 2-3 years of retail pharmacy experience
- Computer literate MS Office
- Good communication skills, listening
- Ability to train other staff members
Qualifications
- BPharm / equivalent qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
