About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Storeman to join our BCE Warehouse team. As a key member of our inventory control operations, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of our stock management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining physical control and organisation of inventory within assigned areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and security.
- Accurately counting and recording stock received and dispatched according to procedures.
- Performing regular cycle counts and participating in full stock takes and reconciliations.
- Keeping stock items always organised and readily accessible for efficient retrieval.
- Inspecting items in stock for defects or damage and reporting findings promptly to the manager.
- Conducting investigations into stock discrepancies and reporting findings to the manager.
- Maintaining accurate administrative records of inventory and stock management.
- Tracking inventory movements, creating reports, and reconciling inter-branch/warehouse transfers.
Requirements
- 13 years of experience in a Storeman, Stock Controller, or similar hands-on warehousing position.
- 13 years of previous cycle count experience.
- Computer literacy (13 years of experience).
- Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as cycle counting and ABC analysis.
- Excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written).
- A related degree (preference will be given to degree-holding individuals).
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric certificate.
