About the Role
The Project Planner will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project schedules for engineering and construction projects. This role requires strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Projects, ensuring accurate planning, progress tracking, and reporting to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Projects
- Establish baseline schedules, milestones, and critical paths
- Update and maintain project schedules in line with site progress
- Monitor schedule deviations and highlight risks and delays
- Collect progress data from site and project teams
- Analyse performance against baseline and forecast completion dates
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
- Provide look-ahead schedules and recovery plans where required
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial teams
- Support tender and pre-contract planning where required
- Assist with sequencing of fabrication, delivery, and site activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Planner in engineering / construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Projects (essential)
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Certification in Project Management or related field
Salary & Benefits
R 30000 – 40000 per annum
