About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our FMCG team in Pinetown. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities and driving productivity across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage time & attendance
- Maintain the electronic time & attendance system
- Manage employee overtime & leave
- Drive discipline
- Manage productivity
- Manage daily temporary labour requirements
- Motivate the team
- Control and report on product quality & OEE of assigned Production Department(s)
- Prompt engagement with Maintenance on breakdowns & requirements
- Control production processes & monitor stock levels
- Ensure stock rotation is followed (FIFO)
- Drive SHEQ policy and awareness
- Responsible for reporting and investigating any IOD or stock variances within assigned section(s).
- Ensure prompt communication between management and shop-floor
- Prompt execution of daily production plan
- Partake in weekly & monthly stock counts
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years relevant experience (FMCG experience advantageous)
- Relevant Qualification in Production / Operations / Supply Chain Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Sage experience (advantageous)
- Must be willing to work overtime, when required
Qualifications
- Completed qualification in a related field
