About the Role
Our client in the Steel Manufacturing business is seeking a suitably qualified External Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of sales experience, reselling of mild steel and tube being essential. They should also hold a MerSETA or boilermaker graduate degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Service new and existing customers
- Reach and exceed sales targets
- Generate Quotations for customers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Increase market share
- Offer technical advice to Customers
- Follow up on outstanding orders
- Work closely with the sales team.
- Produce a sales report as required
Requirements
- 1 year or more recent sales experience, reselling of mild steel and tube is essential
- MerSETA, (boilermaker) graduate
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of the steel and tube retail industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Good emotional intelligence
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Strong trading and negotiating skills.
- Strong ability to close a deal
