Job Description
- Drive Parts Sales with growth aligned to Parts Business Targets, KPIs, Objectives, Margins and Profitability of the Business
- Sales planning of target achievements, profits margins, stock level, orders, accessories sales and suppliers, back-order parts and obsolescent stock values with creative ideas to increase profits and reduce obsolescent stock
- Provide and prepare Parts Budget inputs monthly and reviews
- Monitoring, Reduction and Management of Parts Business Operational Costs (direct and indirect costs) initiatives
- Oversee and Manage Parts Warehouse Operation Teams (outbound, inbound, inventory control, operations etc)
- Oversee and Manage Parts Order demand planning process and ordering from factory and local suppliers to ensure optimal fill rate, low backorders and effective supply of parts to dealer network and customers
- Oversee and Manage Parts Support (Technical and Orders) teams to provide optimal support to dealer network which drives brand satisfaction from customers
- Drive and create warehouse continuous improvement efficiencies such as utilisation, peak warehouse capacity used, slotting etc. Supply rates – improve supply rates to dealers
- Manage Parts Business Readiness for New Vehicle Launches as regards parts setup, pricing, ordering, accessory development, technical requirements or compliances, and orders, supply policy and stocking at Dealerships
- Manage local and overseas suppliers and relationships to ensure optimal business efficiencies, strategic partnerships are developed and cost management (policies, discounts and rebates)
- Dealer Network Parts Business Policy Development, Profitability, and Aftersales Absorption/Revenue Growth
- Provide Internal support and guidance to Aftersales Teams (Customer Care, Technical Support, Warranty, Training, Procurements, Aftersales Finance)
- Identification of opportunities for new revenue streams (new products, new markets or channels_ to grow Parts Business
- New Business (traditional & non-traditional) Opportunities, Products, Sectors, Products and Services Development
- Parts Marketing and Communications Management Projects to drive Parts Sales demand
- Parts Business Operating Systems Maintenance, Development and Integration Projects
- Parts Electronic Catalogue Systems Maintenance and Improvements
- Manage performance of staff, aligned to goals, measuring performance and dealing with non-performance accordingly
- Provide training to staff and development of training programs (staff and dealer network) to improve competencies
- Maintain relations with key stakeholders, customers and industry associations to achieve the objectives of the Parts business
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Evaluated knowledge and experience in Automotive Parts Business Operations, Warehousing, Warehouse Operations, Parts Supply Chain, Customs, Health and Safety, Logistics and Dealer Operations
- Experience in Parts Demand Planning, Stocking and understanding of Parts Inventory Management
- Understanding and experience of Parts Costing, Margins Strategies, Pricing and Marketing of Parts Business Lines (Parts, Accessories, Oils, Fluids and Lubricants, Other)
- Experienced in Parts and business budget planning, preparation and forecasts
- Understanding of Lean Warehousing, Warehousing Processes and Warehouse Management Systems
- Experienced in Supplier Management (Logistics, Distribution, Parts, Accessories and other)
- Experience and understanding of Automotive OEM Dealer Parts Policies and Procedures
- Experience and understanding of cross border (outside South Africa) Parts export and sales procedures
- Experience and Technical Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, part number management and catalogues
- Experience in preparation, understanding and presentation of Parts Business and Operations reports
- Experience to lead, direct people and leading of large teams
- Excellent strong leader, communicator, team player, professional interpersonal skills and good at managing conflict
- Strong planning, analytical, organizational and administration skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Automotive industry experience ESSENTIAL!
- Minimum Grade 12 Matric with Degree/Diploma in Finance, Supply Chain, Strategic or Business Management.
- Leadership and Automotive Parts Business Management Training Qualifications advantageous.
- Minimum 2-5 years National Parts Manager experience at Automotive OEM Importer or Assembler/Manufacturing OEM
- Excellent computer skills (ERP systems, Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel), grammar and writing content
