About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the logistics industry is urgently seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join their team in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of shifts, managing expenditures, and enforcing procedural compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve customer contractual service levels
- Manage shift expenditures within budget, investigating cost overruns and implementing countermeasures
- Monitor and enforce procedural compliance on staff
- Train staff on company procedures
- Pursue continuous improvements for the shift
- Disciplined and train staff on shift – Schedule and conduct / Hold staff meetings
- Resolve staff issues and queries promptly
- Decisions guided by company values
- Ensure employees are constantly reminded of values
- Plan shifts in advance, including staffing and equipment according to volume and timing
- Report on Shift outcome (Plan vs. Actual)
- Accurately record staff time and attendance
- Communicate plan before shift
- Correct unsafe matters immediately on shift
- Complete accurate documentation for all activities
- File documentation on shift completion
Requirements
- Grade 12 compulsory with a Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or similar
- 3-5 Years experience in Warehousing and Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management
- Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills
- SAP Experience

- Grade 12

- Salary: R350k/yr – R450k/yr, negotiable
