About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Agricultural Industry is urgently seeking a Senior Procurement Manager (Grain) to join their team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in grain procurement and have a strong understanding of the agricultural industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of contracts and procurement of the category.
- Provides purchasing services including enquiries; adjudication of tenders; placing orders; compiling/administration of contracts and settling contract disputes.
- Ensures compliance with legal and company regulations.
- Establishes and optimizes the logistics channels and ensures the availability of products procured as well as delivered timeously.
- Ability to lead a high-impact team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
- Driving automation/optimization of the grain procurement system – reporting functional management information and trend analyses.
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelors Degree (BCom or Agriculture Economics).
- Knowledge of the JSE Agricultural Products and Derivative Dealers Exam will be an advantage.
- 6 Years of related grain procurement experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate and/or negotiate with a high level of proficiency.
- Excellent MS Office & Procurement supplier/dealer integrated systems skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in BCom or Agriculture Economics.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R750K/yr – R850K/yr, salary negotiable. Performance Bonus, Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity), Training & Development, Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable).
