Job Description

Company and Job Description:

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of heavyduty mechanical equipment used in industrial and mining applications. The position requires both creativity and technical precision, with a strong focus on manufacturability, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and refine designs for equipment such as feeder breakers, reclaim feeders, sizers, and apron feeders.
Produce highquality 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks and related CAD software.
Prepare G.A. drawings along with accurate manufacturing documentation.
Perform necessary engineering calculations and ensure all outputs align with ISO 9001 requirements.
Work closely with draughting teams and production personnel to resolve technical queries and support efficient manufacturing.
Provide regular updates and technical input to the Technical Manager.
Assist with engineering improvements, updates to existing designs, and ongoing product optimisation.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

BSc or BTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.
A minimum of 5 years handson experience in mechanical design and fabrication environments.
Strong command of SolidWorks (3D) and AutoCAD (2D).
Solid analytical ability and a systematic approach to solving engineering problems.
Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality framework.
Exposure to the mining sector will be considered beneficial.
Ability to interpret and translate complex design requirements.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple design projects concurrently.
