About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious luxury hotel in George. With a strong background in food production, team leadership, and guest satisfaction, you will be responsible for delivering 5-star culinary offerings across all outlets and restaurants.

Key Responsibilities

Support the management and quality control of all culinary operations including Food Production, Food Service, Catering Event Planning, and Back of House
Deliver a 5-star culinary offering across all outlets and restaurants
Stay up to date with evolving guest dining trends and introduce creative, cost-effective menu innovations
Monitor stock usage and design menu items that maximize inventory efficiency
Assist with planning, budgeting, and procurement to ensure seamless kitchen operations
Control costs by analyzing recipes and assigning prices based on food, labor, and overhead expenses
Maintain operational efficiencies and uphold culinary excellence in all dishes prepared and served
Train; mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff, setting clear standards and ensuring strong team performance

Requirements

Minimum 3-year Chefs Diploma from an internationally recognized institution
At least 6 years of culinary experience, with 3 years in a Sous Chef role within a 5-star hotel or resort
Classical training and solid foundation in fine dining techniques
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of SAP and financial acumen will be an advantage

Qualifications

Minimum 3-year Chefs Diploma from an internationally recognized institution
