About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced IR Officer to join our client in Johannesburg and Durban. As a leading recruitment agency in South Africa, we provide comprehensive recruitment services to our clients across various industries. The IR Officer plays a crucial role in managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly review and update HR policies to align with current legislation and organizational needs.
- Communicate policies effectively to all employees and ensure understanding.
- Conduct training sessions for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor adherence to HR policies and procedures across the organization.
- Prepare reports on compliance status and areas needing improvement.
- Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Address compliance issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of HR policies, procedures, and compliance activities.
- Ensure documentation is accessible and up-to-date for audits or reviews.
- Handle grievances and disciplinary inquiries in line with HR policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with disputes at CCMA/NBCRFLI.
- Act as a liaison between management and unions on IR matters.
- Provide guidance to managers on IR matters and general HR issues.
Requirements
- Matric (or equivalent qualification)
- Computer literate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Industrial Relations (IR)
- Own transport and valid driver’s license
- Diploma in Industrial Relations
- At least 3 years hands-on experience in HR/IR field
