Experienced Salesperson 6-Axis Industrial Robots Drive catalogue-based industrial robotics sales across key manufacturing regions in South Africa Johannesburg (JHB), Durban, Eastern Cape | R25,000 R35,000 About Our Client Our client operates in the industrial automation and engineering solutions space, supplying catalogue-based 6-axis industrial robots and related automation products. The business works closely with advanced manufacturing and industrial customers, delivering technically informed robotic solutions tailored to operational needs. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-value automation technology in a performance-driven sales environment. The Role: Experienced Salesperson 6-Axis Industrial Robots This role exists to drive direct sales of catalogue-based 6-axis industrial robots, end-effectors, tooling, and automation accessories. The successful candidate will focus on new business development, key account management, and consultative technical sales across multiple industrial sectors. The position requires a strong balance of commercial sales ability and technical understanding to guide customers toward the most suitable robotic solutions. Key Responsibilities Minimum 35 years experience selling industrial automation or robotics solutions, with direct responsibility for revenue generation Promote and sell catalogue-based 6-axis industrial robots and related automation equipment Develop and execute territory and account sales plans aligned to revenue and growth targets Identify, qualify, and secure new customers across manufacturing, automotive, FMCG, packaging, engineering, and industrial sectors Conduct on-site customer needs analyses to recommend appropriate robot models, payloads, reach, and configurations Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through proposal, negotiation, and order closure Maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and long-term value Manage key accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention Provide pre- and post-sales technical support in collaboration with engineering and applications teams Prepare and deliver client presentations, product demonstrations, and ROI-focused proposals Build and maintain strong technical knowledge of robot specifications, controllers, tooling, and automation accessories About You 35 years experience in industrial automation or robotics sales, preferably with catalogue-based robotic systems Strong technical understanding of 6-axis industrial robots, payloads, reach, cycle times, and automation components Proven ability to translate technical features into clear commercial benefits Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales role while managing multiple accounts Willingness to travel within Johannesburg, Durban, and the Eastern Cape Valid drivers licence (essential)
