Duties:

Collect and consolidate data from diverse sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, surveys).
Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Ensure data integrity through quality checks and thorough documentation of methodologies.
Partner with departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to support business goals.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven workflow improvements.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business metrics.
Stay current with emerging data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics
Honour’s degree in data science, business analytics or relevant fields will be beneficial.
Relevant certifications can strengthen a candidate’s profile: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Certificate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, SAS Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty

Experience:

3 -5 Years of experience in data analytics and script development.
Proficiency in using analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, or SQL.
Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualisation and reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Results-driven with a focus on meeting targets and delivering quality outcomes.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data tools.
Solid grasp of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modelling.
Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and finance.
