Duties:

  • Collect and consolidate data from diverse sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, surveys).
  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Ensure data integrity through quality checks and thorough documentation of methodologies.
  • Partner with departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to support business goals.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven workflow improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business metrics.
  • Stay current with emerging data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends.

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics
  • Honour’s degree in data science, business analytics or relevant fields will be beneficial.
  • Relevant certifications can strengthen a candidate’s profile: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Certificate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, SAS Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty

 
Experience:

  • 3 -5 Years of experience in data analytics and script development.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, or SQL.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualisation and reporting.

 
Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting targets and delivering quality outcomes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data tools.
  • Solid grasp of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modelling.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and finance.
