About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Centurion: Interim Accountant to assist with Year End CaseWare Articles for a 6-month contract position. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a financial service institution, and extensive CaseWare experience. This role involves working closely with auditors, resolving customization issues, and providing on-the-job training to an Assistant Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Year End CaseWare Articles
- Import SAGE300 TBs to CaseWare
- Capture GRAP financial statements notes on CaseWare
- Identify differences from face of the AFS to the notes and resolve
- Assist with reconciliations within CaseWare (e.g. intercompany eliminations, revenue and opex, payables and receivables)
- Assist auditors with queries relating to annual financial statements
- Drive resolution of customization or set-up issues on the GRAP template with service provider
- Monitor and ensure resolution of any synchronisation issues on cloud backup files
- Provide on-the-job-training to the Assistant Accountant on CaseWare
- Provide regular feedback on the financial statement process weekly
- Assist the Interim Finance Manager with contracts review project
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Extensive CaseWare experience (at least 3 years)
- GRAP experience (at least 3 years)
- Public sector experience
- Transition from IFRS to GRAP
- Ability to work with annual financial statements (March 2026)
