Cape Town City Centre: Contract – Voice Broadband Migration Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Voice Broadband Migration Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract basis in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a Voice and Broadband Data Cleanse project, ensuring key milestones are achieved on time and with strong internal communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain customer numbering/address details and CLOA (Customer Loss Of Authority)
  • Submit and track POV (Pre?Port Order Validations)
  • Place porting requests via portals/email; chase supplier updates
  • Challenge incorrect rejections; investigate failed migrations
  • Activate migrations and update stakeholders
  • Provision circuits on carrier portals; place/amend orders
  • Process cancellations; calculate and communicate early termination fees
  • Coordinate cease dates with suppliers; ensure services stop on agreed dates
  • Advise Billing to stop charges and third parties to cease billing
  • Chase updates on ceases; work with internal teams to retain customers where appropriate

  • Strong proactive, “can?do” approach
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks/assignments; deliver complex tasks quickly and respond with appropriate urgency
  • Highly organised with excellent time management
  • Reliable, approachable; comfortable with web browsers/databases and general IT terminology

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a Voice and Broadband Data Cleanse project, ensuring key milestones are achieved on time and with strong internal communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place porting requests via portals/email; chase supplier updates; challenge incorrect rejections; investigate failed migrations; activate migrations and update stakeholders.
  • Provision circuits on carrier portals; place/amend orders; process cancellations; calculate and communicate early termination fees; coordinate cease dates with suppliers; ensure services stop on agreed dates; advise Billing to stop charges and third parties to cease billing; chase updates on ceases; work with internal teams to retain customers where appropriate.
  • Manage internal/external expectations; awareness of project objectives and impact.
  • Maintain order updates and daily WIP ; own orders end-to-end across internal departments; update 999 address records for newly ported numbers as required; coordinate with Billing on order completion; update the customer contract database when services change.
  • Coordinate multi-technology orders; schedule engineers and manage diaries, ensuring the right skills/equipment and prerequisite services are in place; support internal sales with availability requests.
