Job Description
Hire Resolves client in the Retail Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Fashion Designer to join their team in the Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- The ability to research, understand, and work with global trends in order to identify what is new and happening, in terms of colors, fabric, styles, and trims for the next season
- Key to the role would be the ability to communicate and influence a team consisting of Buyers, Planners, Designers, and the Merchandise Leadership team
- Package seasonal information-producing trend documents in an enticing and easy-to-understand manner
- Use your accurate trend analysis and design skills to develop an extensive range of garments
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Newborn and/or Kidswear design experience in a similar fashion retail or creative manufacturing environment
- Using your expertise and experience in Kidswear design, coupled with a great fashion eye where you enjoy being part of a dynamic team of like-minded individuals
- On the other hand, you may be designing another fashion product area but have a passion for Kidswear
- Skilled in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience and knowledge of garment construction and fabric
