About the Role
Fusion Personnel is seeking an experienced Earthmoving Mechanic (Field Service) to join our team in Limpopo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthmoving equipment maintenance and repair, with a valid driver’s license and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance & repairs of earthmoving equipment according to OEM specifications.
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Complete necessary job cards, timesheets, and inspection reports including machine downloads and photos.
- Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and/or electrical/electronic systems.
- Assist in the repair and overhaul of other various components/assemblies on earthmoving equipment.
- Conduct equipment repair assessments and complete relative paperwork.
- Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to security and the Company’s SHE objectives.
- Work overtime, standby, and be available for call-outs as and when required.
Requirements
- Earthmoving Equipment Trade Test qualification (red seal) a must.
- At least 5 years’ experience in the earthmoving industry.
- Previously worked for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Prepared to travel.
- Able to read and write English.
- Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, drive motors, hydro-static transmissions, hoses, cylinders, engines, drive trains, and basic electrics.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Computer literacy would be an added advantage.
