Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced credit risk models for unsecured lending and overdraft portfolios (PD, LGD, EAD, scorecards).
• Provide expert quantitative insight to support credit decisioning, portfolio optimization, and risk appetite setting.
• Lead model performance monitoring, validation support, and remediation activities.
• Translate complex analytical outcomes into clear business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and governance standards (e.g. IFRS 9, Basel, internal model risk frameworks).
• Collaborate with credit, finance, and technology teams to embed models into production and decision systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior analysts.

Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience (8+ years) as a quantitative analyst within a banking environment.
• Proven, hands-on expertise in unsecured lending and overdraft products.
• Strong background in credit risk modelling, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end credit lifecycle and banking risk frameworks.
• Ability to operate at expert level, with minimal supervision, in a high-impact role.
