About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the quality of business implementations through the IT department. This role involves developing and executing test cases for various applications, software, and business functions delivered through external software (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Create test cases based on documented business and technical requirements.
  • Test, implement and execute automated and manual test plans, conditions and scripts ensuring they are aligned with business functional and technical requirements.
  • Test applications and software to ensure proper operation, freedom from defects, optimum system performance, scalability and load testing. Testing may also include functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Document defects with detail, accuracy, and conscientiousness while adhering to the proper toolset and format requirements for such documentation.
  • Track, report and follow up on defects using appropriate toolsets. Participate in test case reviews with business systems analysts and development team.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, IT staff and business users to optimize testing, defect isolation and defect tracking. Communicate issues to appropriate development staff and assist in their resolution.
  • Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments, driving continuous improvement in JAS testing, quality assurance and application development processes.
  • Maintain Test Script library and track/analyze performance test results.
  • Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
  • Maintain and develop business knowledge and customer relationships

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of software and web application development methodologies, life cycles and roles.
  • Mobile application testing experience is a plus.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge and/or experience in Quality Assurance testing methodologies and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with defect management, tracking and reporting tools.
  • Good analytical aptitude with problems solving approach, root cause identification skills, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, with proven strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations, and who can work well with both technical and non-technical resources.
