About the Role
Eden is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Estimator (Damage Assessor) to join our team in Knysna. As a key member of our damage assessment team, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and collaborating with customers and repair shops to ensure seamless claims processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the condition of vehicles involved in accidents or incidents
- Inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs required
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Audatex, Vantage, etc.)
- Collaborate with the repair team to ensure proper understanding of the required repairs
- Communicate with customers, insurance companies, and repair shops to discuss estimates, repair schedules, and insurance claims
- Ensure estimates are compliant with current legislation and insurance requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of motor vehicle repair costs and practices
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering queries and addressing concerns as they arise
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualifications (a big plus)
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Estimator, ideally within a body shop or insurance environment
- Valid drivers license (non-negotiable)
