About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor Graduate to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will report into the Senior Building Estimator who reports into the Head of the Building Division, and be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment, and assist with tender submissions.
- Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender analyses.
- Assist in sending inquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating quotations, and analyzing subcontractor agreements.
- Interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications to build up elemental cost estimates.
- Support senior estimators by tracking project budgets, profitability, and reporting on commercial forecasts.
- Occasional site visits to assess project conditions.
Requirements
- Site and/or estimating experience is preferred but not essential for recently qualified candidates who have completed their studies recently.
Qualifications
- BTech/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
