Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join their team within the Food & Beverage industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with suppliers to ensure that our company has access to top-quality ingredients, products, and services. The role will involve negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and identifying potential suppliers within the Food & Beverage industry
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and service levels
  • Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for cost savings or product innovation
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop sourcing strategies and ensure alignment with company goals
  • Overseeing the procurement process from initial sourcing to delivery of goods or services
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Gather data and prepare negotiations in terms of content and organizational aspects
  • Research suppliers and raw materials and make initial contact
  • Compare prices and assist in the maintenance of price tools in consultation with the (lead) buyers
  • Send out contracts, check order confirmations, and inform the lead buyer responsible of the changes, if necessary
  • Prepare, create, maintain, and track contracts in SAP
  • Create and maintain supplier and material master data
  • Carry out efficient and effective sample management
  • Carry out administrative processing procedures for complaints, in consultation with the (lead) buyers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement within the Food & Beverage industry (Flavors advantageous)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Must be aware of the Food Safety Guidelines
  • Must be located in the Wellington/Paarl area
