About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking an experienced Technician to join their team at a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive manufacturing industry and be able to work effectively with various machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely changeover, set up injection moulds and work stations
- Work with Production Assistant and Quality Department on approval of parts
- Aid in Design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, robotics as necessary to meet or improve standards
- Assist Production Assistants in shift operation as requested
- Document tooling damage and/or processing issues, maintenance issues as appropriate
- Sets up all machining equipment related to each job change
- Works in a team to minimize machine downtime and meet or exceed production standards
- Understands all procedures associated with the handling of hazardous waste
- Performs all maintenance of the tools/machines as required
- Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction
- Performs workspace housekeeping
Requirements
- Three to Five years relevant experience as Technician within the automotive manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of the Injection Moulding process
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Understanding of moulds, materials, injection process, and machinery
- Proficiency in technical set-up of injection moulding machines
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
