About the Role
The Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hydroponic systems, greenhouse structures, and agricultural automation equipment. This role requires the willingness to work on-site at various client locations, as well as the ability to travel and be away from home fairly frequently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission hydroponic systems, greenhouse process computers; fertiliser dosing systems both plumbing and control
- Install and commission greenhouse automation motor/gearboxes, fans and similar electrically operated devices
- Install and commission irrigation controllers
- Service and calibrate equipment like tools and machines
- Onsite or remote trouble-shooting of equipment malfunctions, assisting customers with DIY repairs, sometimes after hours
- Assisting customers with programming of controllers
- In-house fabrication (welding, fitting) of equipment like steel pump stands, frames and pump units
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License (Code 08 not negotiable)
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge essential
- Ability to work with tools, power equipment, and technical instruments
- Ability to diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Physically fit and able to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Good communication and customer service skills

Salary & Benefits
