About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of a dynamic, fast-paced investment division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape financial strategies, oversee a diverse portfolio of investments including agricultural assets, and provide critical insights to support business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations within the division, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Review, approve, and ensure the accuracy of statutory reports, including IAS and BAS, for timely submission.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring accurate financial modeling and reporting.
- Lead the preparation and finalization of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee tax computations, tax returns, and adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Supervise the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Prepare and present board meeting packs, financial reports, and related documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems to support evolving business needs.
- Monitor debt management, loan schedules, liquidity, and cash flow.
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification, to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide financial insight and advice to executives, stakeholders, and investors.
- Ensure efficient operation and development of the finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial management, ideally within diverse and international investment portfolios.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate Excel skills.
