About the Role
As a Procurement Intern in our Sandton office, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes and develop essential skills to kickstart your career. You will be working closely with our procurement team to source suppliers, manage orders, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn how to source suppliers and materials while adhering to company policies.
- Develop skills in creating and managing purchase orders.
- Gain experience in preparing Central Supplier Database (CSD) reports.
- Assist in reconciling procurement orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Help request and track outstanding documentation, including CSD reports, and manage expired BEE certifications from suppliers.
- Learn the tender submission process through ETenders and our internal eProcurement portal.
- Reconcile travel invoices to ensure accurate payments and budget management.
- Oversee and manage the logistics of courier services within the organization.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics or related qualification.
- A Degree or Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Certifications like CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) are advantageous.
- Experience: None (should however be able to demonstrate professionalism, hard-work and be able to grasp concepts swiftly).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
