About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Centurion: Data Warehouse Developer to join our team and drive the success of our enterprise reporting and analytics platform. As a key member of our Lead Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting our BI solutions, ensuring seamless integration with diverse source systems and driving innovation in the data space.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, and support of the enterprise reporting and analytics platform.
- Design, construct, test, and implement reporting, visualization, and dashboard processes, including drill-down functionality.
- Develop BI solutions using SQL, ETL scripting (ADF/Synapse Pipelines), business intelligence tools, database programming, and reporting tools on the Microsoft BI Stack.
- Integrate data from In-House, Vendor-based, On-premises, Cloud-based, and Office 365 source systems.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team and participate in testing of database-related changes and application updates.
- Maintain data model schema and hierarchy within the data warehouse and reporting systems.
- Apply database tuning techniques to improve solution performance.
- Coordinate team efforts to achieve strategic and operational business objectives under the Lead Developer.
- Ensure business continuity documentation through Azure DevOps.
- Enforce database security standards and adherence by junior team members.
- Review code and oversee quality of BI solutions by junior developers.
- Mentor Junior and Intermediate team members.
- Drive implementation of innovative technologies in the Data space in consultation with the Lead Developer and Enterprise Architecture team.
Requirements
- 3 – 4 year IT qualification in Software Development.
- Relevant Microsoft certification in the Data space.
- Minimum 6 years IT experience, with 4 years in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence.
- Proven experience managing Data Projects.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory / Synapse Pipelines.
- Experience with SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Data Transformation Services and File Transfer Protocol.
