About the Role
A new position as Head Butcher has become available with our leading hospitality group at their production kitchen based in Johannesburg, where you will lead the butchery division of a busy high-end production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production in a fast-paced butchery
- Oversee preparation, storage & quality control
- Train, mentor, & supervise the butchery team
- Manage ordering, stock control, & waste reduction
- Maintain food safety & hygiene standards
Requirements
- SA national or valid work permit
- Proven experience as a Head Butcher in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of premium meats including game
- Excellent leadership & organisational skills
- Ability to work early mornings
